House of Prayer Fresno exists to glorify God. Equipping people to follow Christ through preaching the sound teachings of Jesus Christ.

Glorifying God means recognizing and honoring the greatness of His goodness. According to Scripture, this is the reason why all things exist (Isaiah 43:6-7, Isaiah 48:9-11, Ezekiel 36:22-36, Ephesians 1:3-11).

This is especially what we want to do as His Church (Ephesians 3:21).

According to Scripture, there is a specific way for all believers to glorify God. After Jesus rose from the dead, He gave His followers the command to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that He commanded them”

(Matthew 28:19). In a general sense, we understand this to be the mission of the church. The Apostle Paul further clarified this mission by teaching that God gives the ministerial leaders of local churches “to equip the saints for works of service, for building up the body of Christ…” (Ephesians 4:12).

Our goal is to accomplish the task of equipping Christ’s followers through two primary means: the Bible and community. Under the Apostle Paul’s instructions, the early believers also dedicated themselves to these two things (Acts 2:42).

The Word of God and the People of God have always been the primary means the Spirit of God uses to equip His church.

Our mission at House of Prayer Fresno is to teach the entire Word of God in order to understand and apply the Word of God, which contains everything God’s people need for life and godliness (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:3-4).
